1966 Recommendation
1966 me ILO aur UNESCO ne ‘Recommendation concerning status of teachers’ ko adopt kiya. Iss recommendation me teachers ke rights, responsibilty, recruitment and employment, etc. stated hain. Following this, ‘Recommendation concerning the Status of Higher Education Teaching Personnel,’ 1997 me adopt kiya gaya. UNESCO, ILO, UNICEF aur Education International WTD ko promote aur celebrate karte hain.

World Teacher’s Day 2020
WTD 2020 ki theme ‘Teachers: Leading in crisis, reimagining the future‘ hai. Iss year education system buri tarah affect hua hai, owing to the pandemic. UN SDG-4 on education 2015 me adopt kiya gaya hai. SDG-4 ‘inclusive and equitable quality education’ suggest karta hai.
Owing to the pandemic, UN ne International Task Force on Education constitute kiya. Task Force contract teachers ke livelihood aur employment ko safeguard karne ke liye create kiya gaya. Iss Task Force me 90 Governments and 50 International and Regional organisations included hain.
