China ke liye India ka major setback liya gaya. Indian Government ne Air Conditioners ka China se import par lagaya Ban. Director-General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) ne “free” se “prohibited” category me move karne ka notification issue kiya. Moreover, Indian Government ne ye step domestic production ko boost karne ke liye liya hai. Even so import ke ban par Minister of Commerce & Industry Piyush Goyal ka bhi approval mil gaya hai. Previously, agarbattis, tyres, TV sets, etc par entry of non-essential goods ko check karne ke liye ban kiya gaya. Furthermore, Aatmanirbhar Bharat mission ko promote karne ke liye Government chahti hai ki local manufacturers production and sale ko increase kare.
Kaise Boost Hoga Domestic Market?
As air conditioners with refrigerants ke ban par government se approval mil gaya hai. And India me air conditioners ka domestic market huge hai around $5-6 billion. Additionally, Directorate General of Trade Remedies (DGTR) ne Choline Chloride imports from China, Malaysia and Vietnam par anti-dumping duty of five years recommend kiya hai. And ye because of domestic manufacturers ke complaint se hua hai. Even so, Indian government ne defence production ko increase karne ke liye 101 items par import embargo introduce kiya hai. Especially, 101 items me Artillery guns, light combat helicopters, assault rifles, corvettes, radars, armoured fighting vehicles (AFV), transport aircraft, etc included hai. So in items ko India me import nhi kiya jaiga.

China Se Import Ban Karne Ka Kya Reason Hai?
China se import ban karne ka main aim hai indigenous manufacturing ko increase karke self reliance boost karna. Moreover, China se recent border standoff too iska important reason hai. Since, India ka China se Line of actual control par border tension increase hua hai. Because of this Indian government ne Chinese products ke import ko cut down and strict trade measures implement kiya hai. And as result, April-August period me China se Indian Import me 27 percent to $21.58 billion decline aya hai.

Indian Manufacturers Ko Kaise Milega Benefit?
Firstly, India me Most of import hone wale air-conditioners refrigerants se filled hote hai. Moreover, split ACs worth $469 million in FY20 India me import hue. In which, $241 million Chinese products and $189 million Thailand products the. Secondly, window ACs worth $35 million same period me import hue. Jisme, $14 million China se and $18 million Thailand se hue. Indian manufacturers such as Voltas Ltd and Havells India Ltd ko import ban se benefit hoga. Furthermore, dono companies ke logo ka kahna hai ki is decision se domestic manufacturing promote hoga. Even so well placed manufacturing facility too increase hogi.
