Computer Emergency Response Team of India (CERT-In). Ne kaha hai ki internet users ko savdhani baratni padegi. Users ko Google Chrome extensions install karte waqt savdhan rehna chahiy. Company ne over 100 malicious links remove kar diye jinse sensitive user data collect ho Raha tha. CERT-In ne ye bhi mention kiya ki ye extensions. Google Chrome ke web store security scans ko bypass krne ke liy code contain karte hai.

Kya Ho Sakte Hai Risks?
National technology arm to combat cyberattacks and guard the Indian cyberspace ke according malicious extensions ki ability hai:-
- Screenshots le sakta hai.
- Clipboard ko read kar sakta hai.
- Passwords and other confidential information ko read kar sakta hai, Harvest authentication cookies and user keystrokes ko grab kar ke.

Jo sensitive user data collect kar rahe the.”And ye bhi add kiya ki “Ye extensions, reportedly as a tools kaam kar rahe the. web searches ko improve karne ke liy. Kya Precautions Le?
Agency ne users ko suggest kiya ki Google Chrome extensions ko uninstall karde. IOCs (organisational chart) section me given IDs ke sath. Users, chrome extensions page and subsequently enable developer mode pe visit kar sakte hai. And dekh sakte hai ki kahi unhone koi malicious extensions to install nhi Karli. And then vo apne browsers se use remove kar sake. Ye bhi advise kiya gya ki Internet users sirf jarurat wali extension install kare. And install karne se pehle user reviews ko refer jarur kare. Jo extensions use me nahi hai unko uninstall karde. And ye bhi bataya ki user kisi bhi unverified sources se extensions install na kare.
