1932 me, 4 major automobile companies ne merge karke ek ‘Auto Group AG’ naam ki company start ki jo baadme jaake ‘Audi AG’ ke naam se famous hui. Yeh 4 companies the – Audi, DKW, Horch, and Wanderer. Merger ke baad Auto Group AG, Germany ki motor vehicle manufacturer bann gayi. So iske baad identification ke liye unhe ek new logo ki zaroorat thi jo charo companies ko define kar sake. Tab jaake Audi ka famous 4 interlocking logo ka discovery hua tha. Yeh 4circles stands for woh 4 companies and unke beech ki unity ki symbolize karta hai.

AUDI
Audi ko August Horch ne establish kiya tha. But Horch’s ka naam already use me tha. So Horch ne kuch unique karneka socha. Usne apna naam German me translate kiya jisme it meant “Hark” ya “suno”. Latin me translate karne pe it was “Audi”. Since yeh unique tha, Horch ne apni dusri company ka naam Audi Automobilwerke GmbH rakha.
Audi zyada popular hone lagi because usne consecutively teen baar International Austrian Alpine Rally between 1912 and 1914 jeeta tha, jo uss time kaafi tough rally maani jaati thi.
DKW
DKW ko first start kiya tha in 1902 in Chemnitz under the name of Rasmussen & Ernst. Initially toh yeh company exhaust-steam oil separators for steam power plants, vehicle mudguards and lights, vulcanization equipment, and centrifuges wagera banati thi. Then 1919 me company ne pehli baar two-stroke engine banaya, ek working toy-engine ke form me. Iske success se company ka naam change karke “Zschopauer Motorenwerke J.S.Rasmussen OHG” kar diya. N finally ek saal baad uska naam DKW rakha after the sale of their first motorcycle.
Horch
19th century ke end tak, market me already kaafi car manufacturers rule kar rahe the. Unmese ek famous company was August Horch & Co, jisse Augsut Horch ne 1899 me start kiya tha. Horch ko automobile engineering industry ka kaafi revolutionary person mana jata hai. Khudki company start karne se pehle, Horch ne teen saal Carl Benz me automobile production ka kaam bhi handle kiya tha. Finally aage jaake Horch ne dusri car manufacturing company Audi start ki.
Wanderer
1885 me do mechanics Johann Baptist Winklhofer and Richard Adolf ne Chemnitz me ek bicycle repair workshop start kiya tha. Slowly unhone khudki cycles produce karni start kardi. Jo itni popular ho gayi ki unhone apni khudki company Wanderer Fahrradwerke AG ke naam se sell karna shuru kar diya. Wanderer ki first motorcycle was built in 1902. And finally 1913 me unhone car production bhi start kar diya.
Merger ka reason
1929 me jab global recession ne world economy ko hit kiya, tab automobile ki demand kaafi gir gayi thi. Koi bhi ese time me vehicle khareedne me interested nahi tha. Bhale isse pehle yeh charo companies kaafi successful thi, but recession ke wajashse unhe bhi kaafi financial problems face karna pada. Isse overcome karneke liye, charo brands ne ek saath merge karne ka decision liya. And iska result toh hum aaj tak dekh hi rahe hai. Audi duniya ka ek sabse bada and famous luxury car hai, jis se drive karna ya own karna kaafi logo ka dream hai.
