New Consumer Protection Rules Ka E-Commerce Me Importance

The Consumer Protection Act, 2019 consumer rights ko promote, protect and enforce karne ke liye banaya gaya hai. Moreover, 1986 Act ko replace karke new act laya gaya. As per new act, electronic networks par sale and purchase of goods and services govern kiya jaiga. Additionally, four parts me regulations ko list kiya gaya hai. Even so, grievance redressal mechanism, payment methods, the security of payment methods, charge-back options, etc too consumers ko display karna padega. Moreover, ”country of origin” ko bhi display karna mandatory hai. CCPA ko unsafe goods ko investigate karne ka right hai. And consumer ko direct refund of the cost of such goods provide karta hai.

Court me old cases ko old law ke according solve kiya jaiga. But new cases ke filling ko New consumer protection act 2019 ke according solve kiya jaiga. Firstly, District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission ko up to the value of Rs 1 crore ke complaints ke jurisdiction ka right hai. Secondly, above Rs 1 crore and up to Rs 10 crore ke complaints ko State Commission handle kar sakta hai. Lastly, complaints above Rs 10 crore ko National Commission handle karta hai. Moreover, new law ka consumers ke liye biggest advantage hai ki vo online complaint register kar sakte hai. And even so, consumer ko apne nearest place ke consumer court choose karne ka right hai.
